Christine Camp is President and CEO of Honolulu-based Avalon Group. Avalon is a developer, investor, owner, third-party manager, and broker of industrial parks, apartment buildings, and office and retail commercial centers in Hawaii.
At age 32, Christine started Avalon Group as a one-woman, real estate consulting operation. Within three years she was able to develop her first multi-million-dollar project.
An active member of the community, Christine is currently a board member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, Central Pacific Bank, Kahala Nui Senior Living Community, Blue Planet Foundation, and the YMCA of Honolulu.
Avalon has been an active developer of properties in Hawaii with more than $350M in investments to date. The company is currently developing Kapolei Business Park, a 175-acre industrial park in West Oahu, Hale Ka Lae condominiums, Hale Manu apartments, a 270-unit, $170M residential project, and Sky Ala Moana, a mixed-use condominium-hotel along Kapiolani Boulevard in Honolulu.
With a team of more than 40 committed individuals, Avalon manages 900 residential properties and 1.5-million-square-feet of commercial properties.
Christine braved the tough construction industry as a woman in a “man's world” and will share her incredible journey from humble beginnings to multi-million-dollar projects and lessons she’s learned along the way.
